Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996 and professionally known as Aurora. Her name can be spelled as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well received by music blogs. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are just two of the artist's high-profile recordings. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway on her blog added to the musician's appreciation. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument hidden in her attic, and becoming fascinated with the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to do music just to have fun or as a means of growing, but that she should take it seriously. They advised her to compose. Her sources include noted authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her affinity with Bjork's style.
